Information You Provide
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that returns results. Bloomington Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those queries on its own servers. When you contact us, we receive the information in your message and use it to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
Our host maintains routine server logs, such as an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies and similar tools may support basic analytics or, where used, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
We use limited data to operate the service, resolve problems, measure traffic, and improve content. We do not sell lists of visitors or create profiles of individual users.
External Links
Bloomington and Hennepin County record portals, Minnesota services, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools have their own privacy rules. Those rules control information you provide on their services. The same is true for sponsored results supplied by another company.
Service Providers and Disclosures
Hosting and support providers process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners can receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information when required by valid legal process and not otherwise.
Safeguards and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for as long as the purposes described here require. There are no visitor accounts, so the site has no account password or user profile to expose.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you believe a minor sent us information, contact us so it can be deleted.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a website holds about you. The Minnesota Consumer Data Privacy Act, Minn. Stat. §§ 325M.10–325M.21, took effect July 31, 2025 and provides Minnesota consumers rights for covered businesses. Because we keep very little, a request normally involves checking our contact mailbox and server logs, then removing what we find. Use the Contact page to ask. Government records held by Bloomington, Hennepin County, or Minnesota offices are outside our control. Requests concerning those records belong with the custodian under the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, Minn. Stat. ch. 13, or another applicable record-specific process.
